Group Work Clinic with Hilda Loughran
This two day event is aimed at social workers focused on developing their group work skills. The first day will be used to revisit our group work theory and to refresh basic group work skills while the second day will focus on the application of theory and skills to a recent or current group work experience.
The event will be held on Friday, 5th and Thursday 25th October.
Target audience
This event is open to social workers who currently work with groups or who would like to review recent group work to develop skills for future practice. As the event is practice based, it is not open to social workers without current or recent group work experience to participate. Places are limited to 12 and participants are required to attend both days. Participants will be asked to provide material informed by their practice in advance of the event to help ensure the content meets their needs.
It is assumed that those attending have an understanding of core group work theory and practice experience.
