Self-Management in Professional Practice HSCP Interprofessional Conference

Education and Research Centre, Our Lady's Hospice & Care Services, Harlolds Cross, Dublin 8.

Self Management in Professional Practice

Interdisciplinary teams are recognised as the way forward in the move towards integrated health care. HSCPs work increasingly in interdisciplinary teams, often in challenging environments. Effective Communication is key within the interdisciplinary team; the need to be clearly heard and understood.

Self Management of key areas like time management, prioritisation of workload and effective ways of working in busy workplaces are crucial to minding ourselves and ultimately providing a continuous quality healthcare service.

This one-day conference will address the need to prioritise and promote interprofessional integrated learning in order to support the development of interdisciplinary working. Upskilling in the communications area will give practitioners and clinicians increased confidence in their learning and knowledge, their practice, and the implications of their decisions.

Through facilitation, discussion and group work, the conference will offer participants the opportunity to reflect on their learning and explore how it has impacted on their practice, their profession, their clients and their colleagues.
